Macon, Georgia is a Southern travel destination with rich heritage and a great story to tell. In order to share that story with a large, passionate audience of dining, travel, and history enthusiasts, Atlanta Eats created and executed a fully integrated marketing plan for Visit Macon to enhance brand positioning and ultimately drive new visitors to the region.

 

BACK TO THE BASICS…

Atlanta Eats sought to accomplish the following Visit Macon marketing/business objectives:

  • Reinforce the Visit Macon brand through integrations within the programming of Atlanta Eats and promote tourism to Macon through event promotion

  • Create high quality, engaging video content assets for Visit Macon to re-purpose across their owned media platforms
  • Tell the Visit Macon story through a full length segment that would introduce new potential visitors to the region and remind past visitors of Macon’s rich history, delicious dining and fun atmosphere. 

VIDEO PRODUCTION & BROADCAST

OVERVIEW:  Atlanta Eats shot and produced a segment for Atlanta Eats to be aired on Peachtree TV. Four short-form (:30 second) pieces were also shot and produced, highlighting Macon’s vibrant community events, hot dining scene, rich history, and traditions.

 

PROMOTIONAL DETAILS: MARCH 3rd – AUGUST 1st

  • 1x long-form segment and 4x :30 short-form videos were shot & produced featuring hot topics like dining, culture, traditions, and events. Please see short forms below. 

  • The Visit Macon long-form segment aired a total of 6 times during flight (Atlanta Eats on Peachtree TV, 7pm Saturdays and 10:30am Sundays)

  • Content licensed to Visit Macon for use on owned media platforms (website, social platforms, email, etc)

OVERVIEW: Visit Macon & Atlanta Eats partnered to promote fun events this Spring & Summer perfect for viewing on social platforms as well as the traditions and great dining happening in Macon. Our integrated social campaign was designed to organically drive social interactions and awareness.

VISIT MACON RECEIVED:

  • 22x organic social posts on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram to large loyal Atlanta Eats audience promoting events in Macon & the airings of segment on Atlanta Eats 
  • 10x Highlighted mention in Atlanta Eats’ weekly email newsletter, distributed weekly covering event promotion and television airings 
  • Paid Facebook campaign as added value! 4x posts using the short form videos in campaign reaching a new audience not previously exposed to all that Macon has to offer.

OVERVIEW:

While the core of Atlanta Eats is a hyper-local, informative, and entertaining TV show, it is supported by multiple communication channels such as social platforms, robust website, endorsement opportunities, etc. Atlanta Eats supported Visit Macon by including information about events, dining, and potential tourism interest from the large digital Atlanta Eats audience. Atlanta Eats used their credibility in the market place and large network to get the word out about the great city of Macon, Georgia.
